Best days to bid a car on the Japanese Car Auctions
Quite frequently people ask us what are the best days to bid on the automobile. Their idea is to get a good car for paying less. As you know, there are busy days in life, and there are easy, quiet days. Same applies to the car auctions in Japan. So, what days are good for bidding cars? Find our answer below.

The truth is, there is a chance to buy a car on every single day, but, surprisingly, most of our cars we buy on Fridays. The reason behind this is, on Fridays most of the people want to take a rest, want to go out, or prepare for the weekend, a trip, or have a night out right after the office. They simply don’t want to bid on cars on this day.  And then, our suggestion is, you should set your bids for Friday for sure.
Another good day for winning auction is Saturday. Lots of auction houses in Japan work on Saturdays. On these days not only private clients, but car dealers bidding cars from all over the world also take a rest. Also you should understand that Saturday a day when the majority of people in New Zealand, and not only in New Zealand, but in the countries like Australia and others go to the car yards to buy their cars from there. Thus, Saturday is the busiest day for car yards. It’s easy to imagine how busy car dealers must be on Saturdays serving their customers. They are so busy that they don’t have time to place their bids on Japanese auctions. This gives us a chance to buy a car in Japan for a better price.
The regular people are also quite busy on Saturdays with their families, because that’s the weekend and they want to spend time outside. We all understand that the weekend is the sacred time allotted for the family, but it only takes 15 -20 minutes to check the auction status and place your bid for Saturday, and there’s a good chance that we are getting you your car next day for a better price compared to the other week days.  So, please, don’t overlook Fridays and Saturdays, if you want to have a better price.

A good day for placing bids is Thursday, especially for New Zealand. Thursday is such a day when people usually get paid in NZ, and they are pretty busy going out for shopping. Frankly speaking, we don’t receive many bids on Thursdays, so use this day for biding as much as you can.

Another good day for biding is definitely Monday, especially for Hondas. On Mondays we have lots of Hondas available. There are five Honda auctions in Japan, selling Hondas on Monday  and also we have Aucnet, which sells not only Japanese cars, but very good European cars as well.
Monday is indeed a very busy day. People rested spent time on weekends, preparing for the coming week, and on Mondays they go back to their normal working schedule, thus having no time for placing bids. Same applies to car dealers. Take advantage of Monday by placing your bids on this day, and you have a good chance of winning a good car for less, especially if you are after a Honda car, because Honda cars being trade on Mondays in Japan.
To put it to nutshell, we have Friday, Saturday, and Monday as overlooked days, when most of the regular people and car dealers as well are busy with their life. You can use these days to your advantage to bid a car. In our experience, most of the people will bid more on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
The above said does not meant that you shouldn’t place bids on Tuesday or Wednesday and wait for Friday or Saturday. You can still do it, and in fact, there are equal chances of buying a car on every single day in Japan. In some cases it’s a pure luck, and in other it’s predictable. You can check the prices and statistics, but there are better chances of buying a car on Fridays and Saturdays, and, if you are after a Honda car, on Mondays.
We don’t advice you to overlook other week days. The point is, you should place your bids on any day, including the overlooked Fridays and Saturdays.
